GIS Pro assisted Flyt with delivering the GIS component of Armadale Line Station Access Strategy for PTA.
The Challenge
PTA’s Station Access Strategies help informing how METRONET projects can integrate with the community and what is needed to encourage people to connect to future stations by walking, cycling, bus, drop off or driving.
The Solution
GIS Pro conducted a series of accessibility study for 8 stations of Armadale train line.
It included a detailed assessment of every transport mode to each stations; highlighting well connected places and areas of improvements in the public transport network.
The analysis also integrated urban planning considerations such urban growth and future infrastructures.
The Outcome
The result of the Station Access Strategy will be used by the PTA and other agencies to prioritise improvements at each station.
